An oldy but goldy route, the NC500 plus the Grand Tour in one trip.
Three full days of a mixture of great roads and scenery.
Starting at Inverness on Saturday and then taking in the Grand Tour specific parts ending in Wick and avoiding some of the more turgid parts of the A9. The next day Sunday goes from Wick to Ullapool across the spectacular northern and western sections. Finally Monday sees both the famous vistas at Applecross and then the open run back to Inverness.
We’ve booked 4 rooms for the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at £81, £97, £140 and £58 respectively.
Thursday and Sunday nights are at the Premier Inn, West Inverness.
Friday night in Wick is ‘A Castle View’ in Keiss, just north of Wick and Saturday night in Ullapool at ‘The Arch Inn’.
There are some very good options for very interesting positioning drives to and from the start and finish which can be discussed for those who book.
These are allocated on a first come, first served basis, however if you are not sure that you can commit please put yourself down as ‘interested’ rather than ‘definite’
Depending on numbers, anyone past the 4 room limit can book direct.
For logistics reasons this is restricted to 8 cars maximum.
Hotel prices and availability are much more challenging in 2023, and with folk’s budgets constrained, if you want to book cheaper / alternative accommodation please feel free.
