After a few days lurking in the shadows thought perhaps I should take the plunge and introduce myself. The other half is also joining and gonna say hello for himself too.
Just got our first Z4 last Monday (on my birthday!), after wanting one for only about 10 years! One day we were getting a test drive and the next we bought it, though I was a bit nervous about taking the plunge – the zed is replacing a ford focus so a bit of a culture shock, its brilliant, and I love it.
We found the forum almost immediately when looking for answers to some questions, particularly about run flat tyres that we’d never experienced before and think they are probably gonna have to go! I didn’t realise how much there was to owning a Z4, I’m used to having the sort of car you like but drive and ignore and putting all the tlc into my motorbike. The Z4 is definitely a different concept in car ownership!
We have got a 2006 E85 (I think) 2.0i Sport in dark silver, with heated seats, air deflector and cup holders.
Have so far enjoyed several top down drives! Will post a pic as soon as I can understand how to do that, it looks a bit complex!!
