Norbar 100 Torque Wrench for use on E86

Good evening all..

I looking for a torque wrench for home servicing and general maintainance on my Z4 Coupe. Please could you advise whether the wrench on the link below will be good for general work on my car, its range is 20-100 N.m.
Does anyone happen to have a torque list for the Coupe - sump plug, gearbox, spark plugs, brakes etc?

agreed - 120 nm for the wheels, not sure about the rest (unlikely to be many places/bolts that need more torque). You might be best off with a "big" one and a smaller one. I've got a "big" one - for the wheels! for the wheels! - but will probably buy a smaller one too in the near future. I think I've also read that the ones with a larger range can be less accurate - basically they are specialist tools and the smaller the range, the more focused they are. They're not tremendously expensive anyway and you can use them on any car and other stuff.

Go for something that goes at least to 170Nm
Usually you'd need 2 wrenches.
A typical 1/2" that does about 50-200, for most bigger bolts, and something that does 10-60 or so.
That last one's usually a 3/8 or a 1/4 as smaller bolts are usually located in tighter area's.
Use a 1/4-12"adapter (or 3/8-12") when a large nut/bolt with low torque spec is used.

The heaviest torque spec on the (facelift) z4 (coupe) is 300Nm and 410Nm on the prefacelift (roadster).
Anyone guess where those are located? ;)
 
I have a 2-24nm 3/8 and a 20-110nm 3/8 which covers all the jobs I will ever fancy tackling. The larger stuff I prefer to get a garage to do as it's too easy to get stuck changing suspension components or bushes on your drive and then you're screwed.

As for the wheels I just do 110nm and a small extra rotation but ideally get one that goes up to 120nm. The smaller torque wrench is important as there are a fair number of bolts that need a smaller torque and it's the smaller stuff that is more prone to stripping when slightly over torqued.

I think I paid around £30 each, smaller one is Sealey and bigger is Laser. Not the best of the best but not bad either. They both have calibration certificates.
