Noooo!!!

Got out properly for the first time in a long long time, motorway - easy, pot holes - dodged, speed bumps - no problem.

I get back home in the dark, pull onto the stupidly awkward steep point of my drive and get a big white scrape along my CF diffuser as it bottoms into the tiled floor

Devastated!

Got two lovely marks on the lower front spoilet on my car - my own stupid fault - the car is less than a year old . :(
Never mind no sense in worrying, nobody died it's only a car and some dented pride.

Yep. I knew it would happen eventually, I mean the car almost touches the floor with that splitter on anyway. But to do it on my own drive though, man that's annoying

Mine was on my own garage door and the parking sensors were going daft - but I knew best !

It will buff out.

Done it a couple times with mine and cringed like only you, or those of us that have, would understand

Sympathy from the Mrs, for denting your p & j, dream on. Our neighbour crashed into the Armco turning off the A38 about 400 yards from home. :( He received sympathy in the form of his no1 driver to the center of his bonnet :?  Then explain that one to the insurance company.

Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought. It looked much worse at night with only the garage light for ambience. I took to it with some heavy cutting compound and while the damage is still there it isn't noticeable unless really looking for it. Phew!

Good job on the repair

+1
Front end spoiler / fang damage + wheel rash are experience badges that we all try to avoid.
Eventually we all enjoy that kick in the nads feeling.
I say - Welcome to the club.

I must say my manual skills have improved tenfold since owning this car! I think it's the first one that's mattered enough to do the whole paranoia examination after every use
