noob... valuation question

Every time an early car turns up around £7k there's gasps of " overpriced " and "keep looking a better car will turn up" - the reality is if it is as good as advertised and has a faultless documented history with very few owners you won't find a car at a low mileage and comparable condition - these cars are rare to appear on the forecourt and if they do they are always priced at a premium. This one does look good and genuine - as a forecourt price it's not that expensive - the old adage of getting what you pay for comes in to play here.
Having said all this I would expect the car to be virtually faultless ie original bodywork free of any marks / dings , interior free of scuffs/wear ,
tyres with bags of tread and unmarked alloys . I would expect a new MOT and a 6 month warranty - I would ask to see the V5 doc and then check the MOT history on the DVLA website ( free to do ) and make sure all the mileages are correct and sequential and that any previous advisories have been addressed.
I would even make a note of the previous owner and ring them to see if everything is genuine.
The wheels don't look standard but someone has said they are OEM - would have been nice if it had M seats but these are rare in early cars .

you enjoy basically it was the fact that everything that was suggested on bmw service report was done, had a few extra services ( oil changes) ahead of time too i think, had had all the shock springs replaced at various points too, tbf it was an immaculate car with a pretty low mileage but as others have said for the price you can do a lot better
this car was also on my shortlist, which i would have looked at next and was very tempted by, cheaper better spec, better looking imho and he would have delivered it free at the screen price, would have been an 8 hour round trip to see it but fortunately the si sport was a bit closer and the right car for me
