Noob request - any owners in the Tyne Valley/Newcastle area can show me their car?

Hi - as just posted in the noob forum I've looking into maybe buying a Zed sometime this year. Thing is I've never actually had a proper look at one, much less been on the road in one. Weirdly there seem to be very few for sale near here to go and have a look at, and besides for now I'd rather have a proper chat with no pressure than go and kick tyres pretending to be a buyer.

So I'm wondering if there are any enthusiast E85 roadster owners within easy striking distance of Newcastle or the Tyne Valley who might be up for showing me their Zed, chatting about the ownership experience a bit and maybe taking me out for a spin (as a pax of course). Don't want to take up loads of anyone's time but half an hour or so could be really useful to me.

If that sounds like something someone might be up for please let me know.

Very sensible idea, and very good use of a forum. I'd gladly let someone local to me have a look around mine and ask questions, and perhaps even a bit of a drive. Hopefully someone near you can lend a hand :)
 
Yes, it's a good idea and I'm sure someone ought to be able to help you out.

I did that last year for someone who was thinking about an E86, but wasn't sure if it would work for someone 6'3". It looks like it didn't, as he hasn't been back on here. :lol:
 
Feel free to drop me a message. I'm on the border of County Durham and Northumberland and work in Newcastle. I'm pretty busy over June on weekends, but happy to offer some insight.

I run a 53 plate 2.5i SE and had it nearly 9 years.
