Non-xenons to white light conversion

I once had Japanese Spec Philips Diamond H7 bulbs in my Type R. Super white looking BUT they were kak for driving in the rain when it was dark which can be a problem with the light output of these white/bluish tinted non xenon bulbs.

Don't be connned by this crap.
All they are is standard halogen bulbs. Putting a blue coating on them makes them appeal to Corsa owners, but reduces useful light output. HID and xenon are actually a con as at best they will be using xenon gas instead of argon, halogen, etc. to fill the bulb. It doesn't make them brighter.
If you do get more light generated it's because they use a thinner element that gets hotter and doesn't last very long.
If you do go down this route get one of the decent Osram type bulbs, but do expect short bulb life.

Upgrade bulbs are pants for the reasons CJ has listed. They are a massive waste of money. Get a HID kit for £55, the burners are £12.50 a pair to replace and output at least double the amount of actual light.
No one who puts whiter lights in actually care about light output. Thats what Street lights are for.
Had hid's in mine and had problems with flickering on the auto lights setting. They looked good though.
Just bought some philips crystal vision bulbs a mate recommended. Yet to fit them to mine, but seen them in his and they look much better than my current Philips white vision bulbs, which are actually yellow.
Buy a car with xenons or led's standard if you're bothered about increasing light output.

You plug two leads from the ballast into the original bulb connectors, another different pair to the HID burner (bulb) then that goes into the bulb holder. It's a bit fiddly doing it through the wheel arch if you don't take the bumper off and headlamp out.
