So the sun was shining thought i would take the zed to work, but no, turn the key and nothing, oh dear i thinks the 10 year old battery has finally given up. Fast forward a few hours when i come home and jump start from the E92 and it fires up,check with BMW, they have new battery £120, pop over to Portsmouth pick up battery, and on way home call in for a spot of lunch, then try to start car and nothing, bearing in mind it started ok over in Portsmouth.Oh dear, so call breakdown (this is the first time in 20 yrs had to use AA) arrived in 10 mins, anyways he fitted new battery and sods law it made no bloody difference, so out with mallet taps side of starter solenoid and alls well again, so its booked in for new starter motor next week, but this apart from new brake pads is all I have spent in nearly 6yrs and 42000 mls of ownership, not bad I thinks....credit to BMW....
