Non locking hardtop

Fitted the hardtop on my Alpina Roadster and the thing will not lock.
When I insert the allen key into the slot and turn nothing happens.
Part of the mechanism seems to be loose.

Has anyone else experienced this problem :?: , if so how do you fix it.

Which lock? It has one on each rear corner and one near the mirror?

I'd lift the roof off and ensure that the mechanisms are working correctly
The rears should turn a pin through 90 degress to lock into the posts the front shoud lower 2 hook clamps.

The one that should lock the hardtop to the top of the windscreen.
Nothing happens when I turn the allen key, when I put my fingers through the small hole in the hardtop, the mechanism seems to be moving around

allan key end of the tool should rotate the mechanism about 90 degrees or so. That causes 2 hooks to drop and grab the screen in the same way as the fabric hood does. Through the access hole you should see about a 1.5" plate with hex centre rivetted to the 2 rods that run to each sides lock. There is nothing that can just rotate unless the hex socket is broken off the plate.

I can only suggest that you remove the lining at the front edge and see if something is disconnected or shaken loose.
