Noisy Parking Brake / Autohold

hi All

Not sure if it's just the hot weather, but my M40i has developed a really load creaking sound when I'm starting off or stopping at low speed, e.g. reversing out of the drive and then driving off. To be fair it's always been a bit creaky (which I had put down to the brakes bedding in), but with nearly 2k miles now on clock it's still there and getting worse! I have Autohold always set on, will try turning it off to see if it makes any difference.

Anyone else experiencing anything similar?
 
Yes I have the same. Just creaky brakes, as far as I'm aware its nothing to worry about, in fact thinking about it, the same happens on my X5 too...
Never used the auto hold function...

Thanks BigDave I guess I'll just have to live with it!
 
I posted about this when I picked up mine last year. My drive is on a slight slope and I always get a few creaks when starting off in the morning. Just living with it but a bit annoying on a car like this.
 
don't have the problem but having had the car since May, only just discovered that it has an autohold button. :oops:
