Noisy on acceleration (exhaust?)

Hi all,
I've recently passed the 100k mark on my E89 with 2l N20 and it's started to sound a bit growly on acceleration, which I'm guessing is probably to do with the exhaust. Just wondering if anyone is aware of a common issue that may cause this? Will probably end up taking it to my local indy to check it out as I don't have access to a pit anymore :( . Any other tips on quietening in general, especially at idle would also be welcomed, although I know these engines are known for it.

Cheers,
Peter

The N20 is not noted to be particularly noisy…if it passes the MOT emissions check the catalytic converter must be OK..maybe it’s blowing at the cat / exhaust join ?
