Noisy fuel pump

How long before you start hearing the pump whine and it finally failing?
I noticed yesterday when some 20 feet away i could hear it.
Externally loudest from under the right side rear bumper and in the cabin a like a low AC electric hum.

I had mine renewed about a year or so ago. It was quiet until you filled the tank above quarter, then it would make a constant whine. It was very irritating. As for how long before it fails, who knows? 🤷
 
I had this a few months ago when I turned on the ignition, it stopped after a few minutes. It made a loud sound like someone using a strimmer next to me. I got a mobile mechanic to look at it and he couldn’t find anything wrong. He said it was pumping properly but noisy. Unhelpful. It was suggested on here to use some Redex in the tank, it stopped it after a couple of doses over a week or so. As I thought I would need to use it every week or so, I bought a big box of the stuff. Haven’t used it since. :rolleyes: Got if I need it though.:rofl:
