noisy DISA ??? read on

This might help some people, i read that a bad DISA can be destructive to an engine if it starts to brake down, and eventually it will brake down.
The pin that holds the flap fall out and into the engine, not good !
Anyway not wanting to be one of the unlucky people i decided to sort mine out as mine was noisy and rattling, took it out and it was falling to pieces ! :(

I must say i have no connection with them but will vouch for them, i received mine the next day, unpacking it you can see its well engineered, it took less than 10 minutes to rip out the old and fit the new.

Its now so quite you cant here it !!!

OK its £65 but would be the best £65 you can spend preventing a damaged engine

But before you order repair kit, test your vacuum pot. #3 here

I did mine with the kit from i6 Automotive. Mine was not noisy but the retaining pin was well on the way to working itself loose and the flap was not working because the plastic hex spindle thingy was so worn. Highly recommend anyone who hasn't done this mod does it ASAP.
 
did mine yesterday with the i6 kit. cant say if its made any difference apart from a bit less rattling from the engine.
 
this easy enough to do then? have you to move much out of the way to get the disa out?

no idea if my unit has ever been upgraded/replaced by previous owner so bought the kit to stick in as a preventative measure , cars getting serviced this weekend could prob get the mechanic to do it for me like
