No steering wheel for a while

Hi folks, taking advantage of lockdown so I’m going to refurb my steering wheel. Attempting to wrap the spokes and might get our friends at Royals to re-leather it - I rather liked the perforated leather one in my old Z!

So far I’ve got it out and disassembled. Airbag is out as it has to be and is sitting face up somewhere safe it as should.

I’ve left the battery disconnected and locked the car up with the key.

Question is - can any harm or difficulties come if I leave the battery disconnected for a week or so?

I asked this question when i was thinking of doing it on my e85 and the concensus was it would be fine to leave the battery off for a few weeks
 
I’ve done so on mine (charging the battery up inside the house) and have been away so couldn’t reconnect any sooner. No issues. Although some report it can trigger transport mode? You can always hook your airbag up to the steering column (minus the steering wheel) if you’re really worried? Lol :lol:
