No shame (parking)

whether its right or wrong in peoples eyes is down to individuals. i agree with most and think its a knobbish thing to do

i had a little letter on my car once saying i was parked a bit too far away (literally a few inches) from the kerb left by the emergency services.... couldnt be helped as the kerb is 3-4 inces high. i try and park a little bit on the kerb as often as i can as the road is pretty tight but either way, i am most likely to annoy someone be it either a pedestrian or a vehicle going down the street
 
That is pretty gay parking :lol: as long as my neighbours don't block my front, I don't care how they park.

Our road is so narrows, that you can only get 1 car down and both sides are lined with cars. The pavements are also very narrow so if you don't want your car getting hit by other cars, you have to put 2/3rds of it on the pavement, leaving no room for prams/bikes.

Fortunately the road is small and any cars that come down are only doing 10-15mph so everyone walks in the Road.

Tim, People are only expressing how they feel about how some knob heads park. And I doubt its all they have to worry about.

Tim, the idea of a forum is to discuss relevant content to the title, hence numerous views and opinions posted about parking on pavements in the thread :thumbsup:

Also if this is all people have to worry about in life, I feel very happy for them. :wink:
 
I've got a drive, though many round here haven't & people park everywhere, including infront of my house.

New builds are the worse, so next project is finding somewhere else ASAP

Of course but is said person a knob head? They parked on the street as they felt they couldn't park on their drive. They were asked to move the van which they did but are now classed as Satan for slightly overhanging onto the footpath. Seems to me they did their best of the situation if you ask me so why brand a person for something so petty.

As a neighbour I would be more worried about my property being photographed and my character being discussed on the internet, oh hang on looks like I fall into the second category :lol:

Well I'll tell you what I would have done and probably a few more on here would too.
Put the van on the drive as they have then park the car were the van was on the street, as the car is smaller than the van they could park closer to their drive so not causing any obstruction to anyone. As they are not using the van at the mo they could park on the street across their drive. Simple eh!!

Also its not their property, they rent it and I know the guy who owns the house would have no problem of me photographing his property which I didn't.

I had a pal who was wheelchair bound - cars parking on the path was a real problem for him. A wheelchair on a road is not a good mix.
 
Read the first page - mountain out of molehill imo. Parking across your drive is dumb yes, and annoying, but now it's out of your way - move on.

Who in any authority would take any notice?

Then on the other side of the fence where do folk park their cars - There is not an answer that satisfies all camps is there?

And look at the Vauxhall Hatchback taking two spaces!!!

Oh and having a car with delicate 326's so I avoid kerbs because you know what happens :rofl:

Slightly off piste but watched a bloke open his door on the Z and I must admit if I'd had a shot gun.....another total over-reaction but that's what makes us human :rofl:

Car park dinging should be made a criminal offence; 500 hrs community service and rectification of the damage.
