No roof button response. Light on but no one home. Please help!

I've come to use the roof today and there is no response from the button. The down button light comes on, but NOTHING happens. No window movement, no roof latch, no motor whirring, nothing.

The car went in for a service last week, and I've been on holiday in the week since. No sure whether there is any correlation there...
 
Check your parcel self is in the down position.
Open the boot and there are two knobs at ether end of the underside of the shelf turn them to the down position

I thought I had tried this in both positions but clearly I'm an idiot.
