About to fly to Hungary to deliver a keynote to a group of business partners in the morning. Normally not a problem, but the BA iPhone app already showing the flight delayed and mother in law just been taken to hospital.

Ho Hum...
 
Hope the mother in law is OK but i don't envy you doing a keynote speech i'd be bricking it :thumbsdown:
 
Thanks all. Looks like she's dislocated her hip again (artificial one). The bionic pensioner will be home tonight or tomorrow. Looks like the trip is still on.

And yes, I still get stage nerves! Audience isn't huge, about 500 or so and I'm on 15 mins as a part of the opening ceremonies. Then straight to the airport for a flight to Munich, dinner with an exec then home Tuesday. Why a life!

I've got a meeting to try and sell a new major development to cllrs tomorrow. Last time out, 8000 residents objected!! In 2 months, we are inviting 1000 residents to a high school to face them and their reactions!!
 
Nothing like taking the taxi which takes you via the motorway to the airport. Love the fact that they drive 200 km/h and all legal :thumbsup:

I too make presentations to large audiences Always very nervous before I start, but feel its part of it.
Ones I hate most are this in multi language where you work with translators to deliver in English and recow e questions in native language but translated. Some big 20st bloke asks a question in ?? And all you hear is a gentle woman speaking English in your headset. Freaks me out.

I wouldn't trust a stranger to drive me at that speed until I'd seen his racing licence!
