No power to the top.

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and I need help with my top. I have no lights on my switch at all. Not amber not red. So I'm wondering if it's the motors or some other electrical problem? Any help is much appreciated.
 
Have you tried the two levers in the boot which raise and lower the bottom half of the roof plenty of people have posted questions that their roof won't go down and it turns out that the levers were in the up position hence roof wont retract,if they are in the right position then it could be a different problem.They are the first port of call with roof issues.
 
Does everything else on the center console work? DSC, Tires, or heated seats if you have?

actually, its really not the two levers in the boot that has the sensor for the top to function. its actually a little metal tab that the tray pushes in the center in the trunk wall. the tray sometimes do not push the metal tab in the center to seat properly, therefore even if you placed the lever down and the tray at the lower setting, your top would still not function.

check the center of your trunk wall, it has an oval plastic guide for the tray. push the metal tab to the left while someone tries to press the console button
 
I cannot believe I missed this forum!!! I loved the old z4um. My soft top is not working either but the red light comes on when you press it, the windows go down and you hear the lock mechanism at the top releasing but the top will not retract. Fuses good. Where is a point that I can put my meter on to se if the motor is getting power? I have seen the drain issue post.

A newbie here but if we have any vets here, I'm still waiting on my Streamline Engineering Carbon fiber cold air intake!!!!!!

Got a water soaked motor and the drains are clean. Took me 5 hours to remove top. let's see if I can get it back together. Thanks to shipkiller's website. Will let you know when completed
