On the mods thing. I thought the price hike, was because the insurance may have to source and replace none standard parts to settle a claim and that is often more time effort and expense than replacing the bog standard bits.
 
Surely you dont buy an ///M and not join the forum, so it must be somebody's ?
 
On the topic of modifications, my wife's car just failed its annual roadworthiness test in Luxembourg because it has a non-standard (Milltek) exhaust fitted.
The fact that they've passed it every year since it was fitted in 2013 was apparently irrelevant. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come in the UK.
 
That is am EU directive, but I assume the UK will not have to comply with that now ....

I have a colleague with a Z4M who isn't a forum member, actually he can barely use a computer! Have a friend with an M3 Cab who isnt even a lurker on any car forums, seems a bit strange in this day and age considering their both into cars and aren't driving run of the mill vehicles.

I hope no one was injured but those pics don't half look like the staged shots you see in the film/tv industry. You know the ones where you see a perfectly undamaged car positioned with a few well placed branches on/around it in an attempt to make it look damaged. All that's missing is a kettle steaming under the bonnet! :rofl:
 
It does look staged at a glance but if you look closely at the bottom right of the photo you can see the tree has broken branches and ripped bark plus the kerb has freshly disturbed earth around it so it looks like it entered the countryside a bit further back and slid into its resting position along the ditch.
