NO LONGER NEEDED>>WANTED E89 RED WITH BEIGE AUTO PLEASE

Sorry meant to say Hi as I am new to the Forum...

I am being very specific as I sold my wife's Bright red Z3 2.8 a couple of years ago.I replaced it with a Merc (sorry) which she really doesn't like.

The perfect car would be a 2.0 28i auto in bright red with beige leather interior, but other 2.0 engines considered.
It would have Sat Nav and electrically adjustable seats, along with the other bits like heated seats, comfort pack etc.
The more spec the better.
Preferably low miles and ownership with service history

I know its a big ask but if anyone has one and wants to sell then let me know..

Just as an ad on,its the colour that is the most important thing, the other spec is on a "nice to have" basis..

I am based in Somerset but prepared to travel for the right car..

Many thanks

Sam

Good luck.
May take a while, but not an insurmountable task.
If you read through the forum you will pretty soon discover that the three 2 litre E89s can all basically be remapped to the same output anyway.
I believe the 28 has slightly bigger brakes but if I remember correctly Pbondar has fitted them and says they make negligible difference.

Welcome to the forum , your quest shouldn't prove impossible if you consider all the 4 pot options , obviously the extra poke of the 28i is appealing but its very easily achieved on the other models .
Your red/cream combo is likely to be the biggest hurdle as majority of red seem to have been specced with black but here is one to consider

Thanks Guys for all the input..I'm not in a particular rush and would like to see if the "perfect" car comes along..

I did look at that one on Auto trader (and every other one as well) and was tempted but the miles are bit high for me.
We will keep the right car for many years I expect so its important for me to get it right (this time) :(

Anyone want a fully loaded Merc Slc 2017 with 5000 miles on the clock :)

The car Mr Wilks posted ticks all your boxes and then some in spec, as said it’s very simple and safe to raise the output to 28i levels, and just in my opinion I don’t see any problem at all with 60k miles. There’s no reason why this car wouldn’t see 300k miles with regular oil changes and the price being asked it’s obviously already lost it’s main depreciation so you could use it for years and not throw that much down the chute, no more than any other car. You can get it detailed to look better than a 2016 car, stone chips can be filled in and sanded if there are a few. anything is possible. You said you’re not in a hurry but you’ve again posted a request for one after 2 weeks or so. This is a very well specced car for a 2.0, and in your colours, I’d be on the phone haggling with deposit debit card in hand.

Anyhoo, best of luck whatever you decide.

Hi,
I have an absolutely immaculate melbourne red 23i with cream leather that sounds like it might suit if you are still looking.
PM me or reply if you are still looking.

Many thanks Steve,I have sent you a PM..and in an ideal world a 2.0 is the one I would like but we had a 2.8 engine in the Z3 so not out of the question..

I've seen you mention this in a few posts now - do you have an advert somewhere with all the details? (potentially interested mate, but has a few specific 'wants')

What about this one?

Thanks for that..I have already spotted it and spoken to the owner..I know this sounds pathetic but a little low on spec with no heated seats and a few other extras I would have liked.
My wife now insists on having a hot bottom otherwise I would have gone for it..

I didn't see that but yes heated seats in a convertible in England is a must, unless of course you only use the car in the summer. :)

It's a rare colour combo on the Z4 so you might be waiting a while. If you see a red with black and it's cheap enough you could always get the trim re-upholstered or recoloured professionally. Then you will have what you want and probably in less time.
