Testing the water. I bought this car in July 2020 as a keeper, however my head is being turned by another E86.

E86 3.0Si SE in Monaco Blue
2 owner car with c.53,000 miles
Although SE and fairly primitive spec from the factory, I have added cruise control, cupholders, Stormwerks v4 gear knob and M-Sport seats. All the mechanicals are completely stock except for the callipers and hubs which I have painted black.
The only other work that has been done as far as I know is:
- ABS pump refurbed
- Rear springs replaced
- Fog lights replaced
- CDV delete
The car had “full service history” when I bought her, but this does not amount to many services at 49k, so I had a service II and CDV delete at RBM. Ross commented that she was in remarkably good condition. Next service due in 13k and last MOT passed with no advisories.
She is currently resting on 17” rims with winter tyres although I have a choice of the original 203s (good, original) or bronze MV1s (excellent, refurbed and unique as far as I know) to offer.
Despite the low mileage in my ownership, she is my only car so she does get a good run out on work trips occasionally. The rest of the time she is tucked up in the garage on a trickle charger. In eighteen months of ownership (albeit 4K miles) she has never missed a beat and never thrown a code.
Paint is generally excellent apart from a bit of rash on the skirts and front end, no dents or dings. Interior is excellent. The M-Sport seats are very good (having come from an older car) rather than excellent, but I have the originals which are excellent.
I am looking for £12k inc M-Sport seats, winter wheels and either 203s or MV1s although I will adjust the price if you don’t want any of these.
