I wouldn’t let that put me off what looks a great car, from what’s been said the Nav is shocking anyway, I’m sure the op could throw in a TomTom at his asking price:thumbsup:

The interior looks far better without the nav which is so outdated anyway.

The dashboard looks so much better without Sat Nav, I certainly wouldn't let the lack of it put you off.

I wanted Nav in my search and now wish I hadn't bothered. Out dated and more to go wrong with screen etc.

I would go non Nav and get a separate unit.

I also wanted the nav, and got it, but honestly prefer the non-nav.
Change track, screen comes up.
Maps on it (mine are updated to 2016) still awful and I use my phone instead.
Information you get on there (av fuel consumption) you can get on your flick though menu anyway
It's probably what makes the interior look most dated imo

I have yet to find a Sat Nav without its limitations even on new cars. I have a 2015 BMW and 2016 Mini and both have advantages and disadvantages but prefer the MINI possibly because I use it the most and am used to it and it is integrated into my optional head up display. Ive used WAZE on my phone which was very good probably better than the built in ones on my cars but limited to the small screen size of my phone.

Personally I don't think the sat nav dates the Z4 dash. The sat nav may not be the most up to date but probably still useful for a weekend car. The worst thing about the Z4 dash to me is the great slab of brushed aluminium that most seen to have, though this is just my personal taste.

Interesting that people actually actively want the 11 year old Sat Nav! I actively avoided because it was out of date, more to go wrong and looked awful!

Intrigued to know the added functionality offered by the Nav that isn’t Nav? Trip computer is available in the dash, car has Bluetooth and auxiliary input. Maybe upgraded sound/speakers?

Happy throw a Tom-Tom in at full asking price lol

Open to offers on the car, obviously have a price in mind and not going to list that as I’ll only get knocked down further. Based on cars available, the advertised price for the car is fair imo but I’m not expecting full advertised price if that makes sense?

I think that is a stunning car and I would be all over it if I didn't have 5 already...!!

My ideal garage would have a black coupe in it.

Well you could always sell one of the others I suppose to get your ideal garage! :)

Maybe, but look on the bright side, you could have as many as you wanted then!

Mind you that might cause budget issues. :(

As others have said,I wouldn't let non nav spec put you off completely....

But I personally like my Satnav specified car.
Yes ,it's dated, but the pro nav option is still better to use,and more reliable at getting you to unknown destinations than a 2017,standard nav unit in a Audi/VW car(Speaking from experience).
It also is better at avoiding traffic jams/announcing traffic hold ups or ques than aforementioned Audi/VW units, which wait until you are in the middle of said traffic jam or road works, before telling you,lol :headbang:

So while the screen graphics are dated, functions are good, imo.

Anyway, this looks like a decent car.

Update the satnav and add speed camera warnings and it's a very good tool, saved me from many speed cameras on a 5000 miles European roadtrip. It literally warned me of every single speed camera in France, Spain and Portugal.

If you don't want to use it and it bothers you that the screen pops up every time you change track, adjust the screen angle on open position so that it is permanently closed.

Don't think it makes the dash look any better or worse.

Nice to be able to change the DSP if you have it, like to have the car information and useful for bluetooth phone.

I think it looks cool too, love how it comes out of the dash.
