is it just my zed or is this something normal. When I turn cruise control on i dont have any kind of indication that its on. in my 330ci i get a little orange (or was it green) light that tells me cruise control is active. Also in my 330ci when my washer fluid was low or empty i would get an orange light telling me so, i dont have it on my z4.

We are lucky we have cup holders. 
My impression is that German engineers are not high on frills. If you want a lot of needless junk get a Japanese car. I hear they are coming out with a light to tell you when someone farted in the car.
A special turbo fan then comes on pushing the smell into a special fart canister to be recycled into the injectors to be used as fuel.

As you can see from the photo the 'open' icon is showing in bottom corner. This is both doors closed and just boot/trunk open. It's the same light tells me either a door or the trunk is open, not a unique light, but hey it's there alright.....
As an aside glance to the right - this morning I filled up with my first $11/UK gallon petrol, so that needle on the right/full is painfull ....

For sure, however if he opens it in my drive then corkage may be charged, unless he turns up in the Z then carpet will be rolled out.
