no laughing!- triumph spitfire for sale

Thanks again chaps, it is a nice solid reliable little car. Everyone who sees it says nice things about it and compared to other classics they are really inexpensive. An MGB in similar condition would be worth twice as much. I've had a stag before and prefer the comfort level ut not the fuel consumption. The spitfire does about 35 and the stag about 20!

Move the bikes over and make some space!

Still here and only 4 days to go on eBay. Had some offers and one is close to what I will accept. If it doesn't sell I'll mothball it over winter and try again in spring

Pretty much what's was asking. I knew it was a good car but no one came to view until today. Used eBay and just got idiot offers from folk who had no idea what it was, same with swaps even got offered a 200bhp Chavez corsa!

Anyway now time for something else

Do I get a doer up for the winter or a nice runner for the summer??? More the type of problem I enjoy

i'm confused, why sell a great little car that you have had for years just to get yourself another car?
 
I'm confused too, it's just what I do and like it says below too many toys!

I've always ran two classic cars and had a stag before the spitfire. The spitfire was just too small and uncomfy for nice cruising days out with my old car club. I've also had 7 mgbs, 3 minis, a scimitar, Morris minor and a beetle. I've still got the cooper but we're thinking of selling the Jimny Oh and a merc for a daily and the z for weekends out. And the misses has her 3 series

Mine disproved the statement that " you can't polish a turd". It was proper shiny but the colour of diarrhoea!

The stag replaced a spitfire, which replaced a different stag. Prior to that was a mini, an MGB V8, MGB GT, reliant scimitar, MGB LE, land rover series 2a, Morris minor, and Riley elf.

The Z4 lineage is Boxster, mx5 MGB V8 (fully rebuilt by me), and yet another mgb gt

The mini in the avatar came from another MGB roadster (full rebuild)

In total we have 6 cars of which 2 are dailies, 2 classics, the z is a weekend and high days toy and a Jimny for snow and skip runs

Hence the wording below by signature! :driving:
