No hot air from the heater

So the other morning on the way to work all I got was cold air from the heater. Engine temperature sitting in the middle as normal. Played around with the heater controls, and after a little playing hot air eventually came on.

Initially I thought this was the dreaded water pump, but no errors recorded (checked with Carly).
Coolant levels fine.
This happened once before about a year ago and came back by rotating the temp dial min-to-max.

Any thoughts? Sounds electric to me.
Car is on 120k, I've not changed the battery nor the water pump since I bought the car at 60k, 7 years ago.

A few months later and have this problem again. It seems the hot range of the dial has moved up the range if you get what I mean. So normally at 20 it’s fine, now I have to set it to 22 or 24.
I suspect maybe a sensor, so looking at the guides and parts there is a temperature sensor underneath the radio here

Forgot to add, I replaced the battery.
