Anybody had this before. Started my car yesterday evening, put into first to pull off, and didn't move forward. Hand brake was off, engine reved. Saw on dash Oil can and battery coloured red. Thought 'What the £c(K? Swithcd ignition off, started up again and all OK?
I know he revved it pvr, but most people get in a car it revs to some extent due to foot on throttle to start and could then have just dropped to tickover and stalled out...
I know of no other way to get oil light and battery light on at one with the engine running unless there is a catastrophic failure of several components.
I had a similar issue... on the Stelvio Pass, the revs dropped and the car cut out. Went to restart and it did the same. Happened a few times after that. I left it for a little while and all was fine. Took it to my indi when I got back to England (another 1,500+ miles later) and they could find nothing. No error codes in the system and all was well with the car. Hasn't missed a beat since.
Just keep and eye on it and the lights, but it may just be one of those things.
Reves went up, and when I saw the lights on dash car was showing revs was at 750 revs. I switched off and restarted and it worked. No lights. Yes I understand if people think I had stalled, but I hadn't. I've had it six years. It was really sureal when it happened.
