No dash lights or electric windows!

Recently purchased a 2003 3.0. First proper drive today, about 80 miles.Pulled up at the hotel, couldn't put windows down and no dash lights (headlights on) Switched off then restarted, no ignition lights either. Any ideas? Thanks Matt
 
Dodgy battery?? I'd start there
That usually throws up odd electrical issues
 
Typical, miles away from home! I shall have to look in the morning. No torch or tools to check fuses either.
 
Battery showing 12.2v, after a good run 12.3v! Thanks for the advice,new battery and everything sweet. :driving:

Thanks for the comments, the problem has returned again!
It seems to be losing voltage over 3 to 4 days. Charging the battery makes it back to normal.
Took it to a specialist,they cleared lots of codes but couldn't see any faults. Said possible water ingress,Just going to use it and see what happens! I shall pop across to the newbie section shortly and put up some pics.

Where are you getting water ingress? Are they thinking electrical short circuit? Hope it's not too serious a problem. :thumbsup:
 
There's no water ingress that we can find....yet
Yes possibly something shorting out somewhere! The car always starts but a few times I lose all electrics,plug in my Ctek charger and everything returns to normal.
 
Your guy needs to check for a parasitic drain if the battery is loosing voltage, sounds like he's skirting round the issue a little :?
