No cruise control indication?

Went out for a motorway drive today and used the CC. It all worked fine but no 'ON' indication lights lit up. It was factory fitted as far as I can tell, is this correct? Seems a bit odd if there isn't any visual way of knowing. Anyone know if this is correct or is there a fault? :-?

Theres no fault, the only indication is that you dont slow down!

Exactly, your foot isn't on the accelerator and your moving at a constant speed, isn't that enough indication.

It even tells you how fast your going.

Cheers for swift responses. Seems a bit cheap though, especially for a BMW, every other car I've had with CC had an indicator light. Oh well, when I pootle to a halt I'll know its not on!

A quick question on CC. How can I tell if I have the loom in place or need a full install ?

Take the lower cowling off and you'll see the cc plug taped onto the existing loom within a couple of inches of where the cc plugs in.

Pre October 04 built cars only from memory.
