Nitrogen filled typres?

Gentleman,

It was only a joke about the "Expert with the suitcase" it is what we say here in North America ... no pun intended I assure you :)

As for the air being dry, well it all depends how your friendly neighborhood garage owner keeps his system I'm sure you are all aware of that. I've worked in power plants most of my working life and can tell you with certainty that not all air supplies are free of moisture. If you use instrument air, why yes you have a better chance of assuring yourself that you are using dry air when inflating your tire(s).

My former M3 had nitrogen inflated summer tires. I never had a flat on my summer tires and pressure over 4 years changed very little (I topped it up with air as needed over the 4 years I drove the M3). My winter tire set on the other hand changed quite a bit, mind you the car saw cold and changing winter temperatures.

I use a fairly reliable air pump I keep in my garage, mind you I make sure humidity is at it's lowest point when I do top my tire pressure. Then again with aluminium wheels I don't think we have to worry too much about corrosion of our wheels. I worry about cracks in the wheels  much more on my 19 inch wheels.

here is my air pump that is in my garage and pressure gauge I carry with me at all times.

Same as leaving the tailgate down on a pickup to reduce drag.....too bad the box falls apart from flexing without the gate in.. :D :D

That drives me crazy. Thing sticks out and it's hard to see on edge. Mythbusters (a TV show here in the US) did a study and it's more efficient to leave the tailgate UP. Creates a cut off low pressure inside the box that makes the main stream of air go up and over the truck bed.

We've never left our tailgate down unless with an oversized, clearly marked, load.

We have Mythbusters over here too :)

great show with someonoe who reminds me of an american simon pegg, and another who should either be an old sailor, or a hells angel. lol
