Nissan GT-R

Yes sir, it is. It's spoken for already and has signs up saying "DO NOT TOUCH." Out of respect I obeyed the signs. :(

There's always the light at the end of the tunnel. Glad to see you & I sharing the same thought. :D

Shame you couldn't get to sit in it but you're right, you need to respect that it belongs to someone else.

Nissan were taking deposits of £3.5k here, I think by next Summer when they become available for the first time there will be more than a few people who won't be taking delivery, or will maybe take delivery and run it for a few miles before offloading it. There will always be a few people who will pay a premium for one, and maybe trade down from a 996 or 997 turbo and can afford to pay full whack or more, but shortly after that the market will drop nicely - I predict that Q2 2010 will be a very favourable time to pick up an early car with under 6k miles on the clock.

:D

I dont understand, especially for the drag. The porsche was lighter, had more hp and torque and lost :? He kept saying the tyres wre screwed, guess they really must have been!!

I'd take a ZR-1 anyday. Can keep ahead of the GT-R while looking ten times better doing it. How anyone could hesitate between both is beyond my comprehension... :fuelfire:

Rick Hunter, awesome pics as usual

powerontap, in the UK (and probably everywhere else too apart from the US) you could have 2 GT-Rs for the price of one ZR-1, so whilst I like the 'vette I wouldn't pay an extra £50k to have one. If it was the same price, my choice would be a lot harder.

I must be nuts, but I would not pay money for a GT-R.

From a performance aspect, it is the pinnacle of engineering at this time....

From a styling aspect, the car looks like ASS. I would rather drive a Pontiac Aztec......

But each persons likes/dislikes are different, so if you want on, Go for it.....

It really looks like Rick will have one next year.....

You must agree, though... the GT-R's ass looks finer than yours. :fuelfire:

It's definitely quite interesting listening to all of your views (+/-). Definitely very polar. I think Nissan wanted some sort of reaction to this product, and they definitely got their buzz.

As for having one... I made an offer for one just for sh!ts and giggles. Apparently the Nissan dealership was still too prideful about having one in, and they didn't want to deal any lower than $52k ABOVE sticker. Shame on Nissan.

Give it a year to eighteen months and you will get one below sticker, I can almost guarantee it. New performance cars are going to take a beating :D
