NIL CDV Reward

Clear window in weather this morning so went out for my test run after removing cdv...what a transition, clutch works like a normal car, driving experience is improved 100%, total full control of clutch, smooth gear changes at any speed, pleased as punch for doing cdv removal. I don't have the confidence to do myself but if I were to get a garage to do this how long do you think it would take them? How long did it take you to do?

All reviews have said end result is amazing

Looks like I need to do this!

Anyone in the Surrey/ Middlesex area who could do this? Or someone could recommend someone?
 
MPM Any garage could do it, no more than half hour labour. But cheaper if DIY Cheers bud Baz :thumbsup:
 
I thought from the title of the thread that there was 'NIL' reward for removing the CDV :lol:

Hi Nitrix My zed is a 2007 2.0i e85 with n46 engine (european model) Roadster, I removed no covers to get to my cdv it was just clear of the aluminium reinforcement plate, you could check with google images for pics of the cdv on your car as i don't no the model, so cannot accuse anyone at garage of porkys.

Dont know myself either, I wasnt there while they removed it. They just handed me the valve in a plastic bag.
I had no reason to disbelieve them either as I know the guys who done it and I wasnt charged for it.
The car is an E89 23i

No problem at all, sometimes things should be questioned, with hindsight it would have been good to get a few pics as there doesnt seem to be any around the net showing the undertray and the position of the CDV.
It would have been handy if there was just an inspection cover to take off.
