Night time with the roof down

Spring is in the air, driving all day with the roof down, but its always more special in the dark, music on and hearing the sound of my Alpina bouncing off the walls past buildings.

Warmer weather seems to have improved the gear shift too!

+3 - still remember the first time I did it -borrowed Demo MX-5 - Bruce Springteen The Rising on the HiFi - Cool late September air as I went across the Slug Road up here - Car bought the next day - that was 10 years ago and still got the roadster bug :driving:

Night time with the roof down can be wonderful (all year round)

- but just make certain the anti dazzle is on your rear view mirror (thinking about it - oncoming traffic have far too many high headlights as well! Problem being in a low roadster  )

One word - ace

On clear night with the stars out there is nothing like it. Ace :D

i said to my mate in work about this and his reply was:

''why would you put the roof down at night, it's only supposed to be down in the sun''

he couldn't understand it and told how his scooby is 1000x better at everything, so i just ignored him.

Made me lol

Easy to spot the grown-up in that conversation. People look at you quizzically when you're actually doing it or just talking about it, they'll never get it unless they do it

Tell your mate , my mate loves driving in my roadster with the roof down at night and he drives a lancia Delta Integrale Evo - which is a 1000 x better than any scooby

I would hope anyone that enjoys the outdoors would understand. Some people just don't like it and will never understand. They don't understand convertibles, they sit inside at restaurants and pubs as well, even when the weather's fine. Well, I don't understand the desire to be inside except as shelter when the weather is nasty.

Fantastic driving at night with the roof down! One of my best memories was driving in snow with the roof down - a sense of freedom

Well, it all reminds me of a recurrent Coupe question I've seen here a couple of times: "I wonder how it sounds from outside!" :hattip:

I'm with you - fabulous driving with the roof down and the snow billowing about in the cockpit - brilliant! (Got to be big flakes though!) :driving:
