Nicely modded coupe on Autotrader

Just saw this and thought it’s nicely modded car at a good price. Front bumper is a bit different but it’s got aero side skirts and quad exhaust. I think it looks pretty cool and all of those mods must have run in to thousands!

Front bumper is quite fussy - but seems a decent price for a car that looks well loved and specced!

I agree, it is quite a challenging front bumper, but it could grow in me.

It's a Rieger front bumper. Currently £450 at www.mstyle.co.uk A bit clumsy/ott imo. The rest I quite like though

I'm not a fan of the front bumper either, but if you could live with that it's a good price IMO.

:P that front bumper is just a mess & wouldn't be out of place on Barryboys shedotw  otherwise i can't see why it hasn't sold :? B

Marmite?

Nobody has said they like it at all.
I'm sure somebody somewhere does, including the guy that fitted it originally.

It doesn't seem like much is moving at the moment mate - I'm looking to get a Coupe but I think I need to hold off selling my roadster until the market picks up.

I think a lot of people look at the cost of tax alone and their eyes water.

You can buy a Focus RS MK3 and tax it for £140 for the year. Obviously you shell out a hell of a lot more to buy the thing, but Joe public only see's monthly payments coming out of their bank, rather than a huge lump sum.

A lot of people also now want the latest car sitting on their driveways, regardless of whether it's actually a decent derivative.

On first view it seems fussy, but actually looks reasonable in comparison to some of todays custom efforts, its quite e46 m3 like, so my guess is that the the modder either had or has a thing for e46s, its not jarring, but just different.
In interior looks a bit worn though.

If the pics were taken from further away the bumper wouldn't look half as bad.
I think the perspective of the pics make it look worse.

Another one here in the "that front isn't for me camp". Not sure how the rear bumpers Reiger either. Looks like a standard one to me, with a second exhaust cutout, needs aligning better too. Apart from that, I like it. :P

I don't see it picking up noticeably for the 85s or 89s , the last 2 years has seen little of the usual seasonal bump with the roadster prices , they have slowly lost value to where they are now , i d hope the Si would not drop too much more but seeing early E89 23i south of £9k isn't helping
If i had a Si roady to sell id start now & be ready for a 6-8 week process , i still think the right examples , priced fair & presented properly will sell but for those holding out for last years prices then you might end up disappointed
