Nice Surprises

Took IMmie out for her first local drive this morning and discovered she has Hill Start Assist. Is this standard on Ms?

I didn't realise how much I missed it from my old company 3er

#69 didn't...

even my 2.0 had it....
alpina must be inferior
maybe its just a facelift thing then
im sure someone who actually knows what theyre talking about will pipe up

they will prob put up a pic of wiring diagrams an a schematic of how the hill hold assist works

Mine does. Though it's an auto, and not an ///M of course. I think it was a facelift thing IIRC.

Facelift only, so no Alpina would have it as they are all pre-facelift.

You will have discovered by now that you have lost half the boot in the M as well now

It was only dropped on the new 4 cylinder models on the e89, the 6's had and still have it.

To compensate, the front is higher off the road than your old one, so slightly less chance of kerbing there.

I bought some of those fang guards to bolt on the bottom as well

Can't get over the differences in character. This engine makes some nice noises of its own, although its much quieter around town

Cold running noise is fantastic, the Alpina sounds like spanners, the M very roaring.

No, I like the noise it makes. When I get bored I'll think about it. Had the roof off and had a little hoon on the way back. Must have been icy as the traction control lit up in second on acceleration...

What will be your excuse when it is 25 degrees, dry and sunny and the light comes on then 8)
