Just some pics of my new 224M's which were mounted yesterday with new Falken HS-439 winter boots for anyone thinking of similar... (yes, a bit early as it's hardly cold yet).

Thanks to Mr Wilks for selling them to me, plus the good advice too

...and these guys (via mytyres.co.uk) for being so accommodating and professional re the tyre fitting etc. http://www.acmechanical.co.uk/

Look really nice..Suit it a treat.

I fitted winter tyres on our dog chariot now the weather is going colder and the grip levels are superb in comparison.

Switching to winters on my front wheel drive Astravan made a massive difference to grip on corners & bends , was all over the place in the wet before & the tyres were reasonable brand & tread .

Your wheels look great,as does your zed.Same colour and model as mine and would love a set of 224s to replace my 108s

Looking god Christian  Have you noticed any improvement in grip level,s with the Falken winter rubber ?

Thanks Andy :-) Not had a chance to test properly yet in the right conditions (which would I guess be at least wet & cold), but considering they've quite a few miles before they're scrubbed-in, they seemed to be pretty good on a short mile or two on twisty fast b-roads yesterday afternoon as I said adios to a closely following late-reg Scirocco in the dry and warm

But I will say they are sooo much more comfy than the Bridgestone Potenza run-flat's I had on my previous 107's :D

Z4M-2006, Swiftly, Andysat, Lynchy – thanks guys

Mr Wilks was totally spot-on when he said they would transform the look of our Z :D ...somehow looks like it really means the business, but in an elegant slightly understated kind-of way.

Very nice mate. What tyres sizes did you go for since its a non M? Or did you stick to standard m profile?

I went for the standard non-M - so 225/40 and 255/35

Fitter said it was a bit tough getting the rears on because of the slight stretch. Did it by hand and not a scratch  I quite like them with the lower profiles compared to the M setup...
