Can get an early 997, or a good 996 for that sort of cash.
Doesn't really meet the requirements for 4/5 proper seats.... Shame!

okay this might be a girl thing, but the C63 is about as attractive as shypillis, not that I would know of course, but still it is aesthetically challenged.

But I would quite like this though

I've never met a girl who liked 4 door saloons, so you aren't the first. That S5 is nice but with the wrong gearbox (apparently - http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/232647/audi_s5_tiptronic.html) although I am sure I'd be more than happy with one.

Personally I'm very impressed with the current shape S4, but I suspect that's not lusty enough for the OP having a mere 338bhp.

Would have to be the M3 for me out of those options. Only problem is that the E46 comes across to me as a bit chavvy now. With a new 3-series out next year, how long before the new M3? And with that will the current M3 start to lose its appeal?

Realising I've just written a paragraph on chavviness, I'd still go for the NIssan over the C63. Mercs just don't have the sporting focus for my liking. Not questioning the straight line, fuel-guzzling awesomeness of a 6.3 litre 400+ BHP engine, but without driving it I would be surprised if it had the same overall performance.

Reviews for the C63 have been very positive though. It might not offer the same sharpness as the M3 but it's far from soft and the Performance Package with its LSD and sportier dampers is even more hardcore. Plus it has amazing presence on the road. Very aggressive.

If i wanted a wickedly fast family car it'd definitely be my choice.

How about:

Although not sure about size for the offspring and whether you'd fit the golf clubs in the boot?

I like the Jag XK but just don't think it's for me. Just doesn't do it for me.

Was parked next to one yesterday. Amazing how similar they are - 6 series is really just the big brother of the Z4 Coupe I think but I just can't get over it's horrible back end. Now I won't say never as over the years it's been out it has grown on me and I haven't driven one so that might convince me but it'd need to be great.
