I am now 100% on for this and looking forward to it. :)

Fancy meeting up beforehand for a convoy? :D

Yes. I confess that I haven't looked where Newlands Corner is. If you want to suggest a place and time to meet, then I'll be there!

Thanks

Rick

Sunday 20 March from 9.30 (or earlier if you like) is still the plan. If all goes well and it seems a number are coming we can agree other dates.

I'm still up for this

Just got to get a water leak sorted. Large pool of water under my Zed and on the lower engine cover yesterday :o

Took it to my local indy dealer today. Hope to hear from him tomorrow.

Fingers crossed it's not bad/expensive news!

Last reminder for Newlands Corner this Sunday (20 March) at 9.30 (or a bit earlier). The postcode is GU48SE and you can Google it for more details. It can get busy there and the surrounding roads can get snarled up with cyclists usually 3 abreast so try not to take any down!!
Forecast is currently for good weather so fingers crossed we can all get the cars out. Its my first meet as a relatively new owner so looking forward meeting everyone.

May pop down for this, as I'll be in south London on the weekend, would be my first z4 meet and would be good to meet a few of you.
Dependant on how heavy Saturday night is though!

Think I'm not going to be able to make this now I'm afraid :(

Hopefully pop to the next one as I'm only down the road

I'm trying to tempt the wife into a little road trip Sunday but lay in v go out on the only decent day to have a lay in might mean I'm on me own if I can get out :driving:

Water leak sorted courtesy of a new rad. :)
All being well I'll be at Newlands on Sunday
See you there :driving:

Hi folks, thought I'd drop by and say hi. I organise the Lotus gatherings at Newlands Corner. We have a regular third Sunday of the month meeting for bacon rolls and banter so we'll be there this Sunday too. We usually have 20-30 cars of various models and ages, plus a few former Lotus owners who have defected to the dark side or have other interesting non-Lotus machinery in their collections.

We usually try and form a couple of lines together in the centre of the first parking area. Plenty of space at Newlands Corner for all of us and we're a friendly bunch so come and say hello. I'm sure there's lots to debate about the different merits of Bavarian metal and Norfolk plastic :)

In case you're not aware, the upcoming introduction of parking charges at Newlands Corner and the proposed development of the site has resulted in a lot of action by the Save Newlands Corner campaign http://savenewlandscorner.com. The petition https://www.change.org/p/surrey-cou...nds-corner-family-friendly-and-free-to-access has reached over 10,000 signatures and the issue was forced onto the agenda of a recent meeting of Surrey County Council. There have been multiple articles in the local paper and coverage on local radio.

Because little has been done at the site to publicise the proposed plans, the campaign are there regularly to let visitors know what is happening. They will be there on Sunday - please lend your support, sign the online petition, take a leaflet and display it on your car, write to Surrey County Council and Surrey Wildlife Trust.

A few ££s parking charge are probably not a big deal for most of us. But if the proposed re-development goes ahead, this wonderful view and photo opportunity will be blocked by a café.
