Newlands corner meet, 20th November.

Hi guys, we really enjoyed our trip from Swindon to the Newlands meet! Great to meet you all, surprised I was the only E89 We also enjoyed the trip to Box hill dodging the Lycra 'warriors' up the twisting road to the top of Box hill with stunning views!
A bit chilly and wet at first but conditions soon improved and with the help of a bacon and egg bap with a cup of coffee all was well.
Traffic wasn't too bad and we are now home just in time for a Sunday roast!
Great to meet you guys, hope to meet up again. I do have a few pics which I'll try to attach on here!

Nice collection of cars  I'm on the beds bucks border but may come and join one of the meets if that's ok? I did some building in East Horsely and Banstead so know the area a little and even visited Box Hill :driving:

8) Here's some action shots on route to Box hill.

All are welcome - even you!

I have to say that I wasn't overwhelmed by the enthusiasm for a December meet, but we'll certainly be doing this many times again!

Next meeting I am aware of in this neck of the woods will be the Pistonheads Sunday Service on (Sunday!) 11 December:

If a group on us do decide to go, then we need to find meeting point, because we'll never find each other once inside.

Looked like you guys had a good morning of it despite the threat of rubbish weather!

I wasn't able to get away in the end - whilst I was on holiday the Zed developed a slow puncture on one of the rear tyres, so had to run about trying to sort that in the end :/

I've signed up for the Pistonheads Sunday Service too - be good to try and get a group together to head down for that! :)

I'm touched :poke:

I'm not about for the Sunday service but will certainly keep my eye out for the next Newlands meet

Third Sunday in January

Firstly I must say thanks to Z43.0Si for setting it up - had a really great morning thanks.

Will put the January date on the calendar for sure!

Had a proper petrolhead day - yesterday evening I went to Wimbledon Stadium to see Spedeworth National Hot-Rods, Historic Hot-Rods (Escorts, Anglias, a Viva HB, Austin A40s, an A35, etc.) and Historic Saloon Stocks (contact formula with Cortinas, Triumph 2000s, Anglias and MG Magnettes) racing on the oval - great end to a great day! Shame it won't be there much longer.

And in response to earlier posts I have a place on the PH Goodwood SS on 11 December so would be up for a Z4 convoy!

Will load my photos tomorrow - PC doesn't seem to want to talk to camera tonight!? :(

Photos as promised.

The first two were at Newlands Corner and the other two at Box Hill.

Great pics Mr Tidy.

Glad everyone had a good time. I'm regretting not braving the local floods. I really wanted to drive the Petworth route (no fun planning then not driving) and the Boxhill run too. :(

Yes, Wrs you missed out!

Still now you know what to do on the 3rd Sunday in January (the 15th) - come and join in!

Pity I chickened out as weather improved but would have hated to get the underside of the car all wet and then put it back in the garage. Judging by the underside of the car it has been cosseted all its life and has probably never got wet.
Lets hope January is better.
