i have agreed to purchase a 2004 z4 3.0 but have not finalized the deal yet. It has been checked out by my mechanic who gave it a clean bill of health. The interior needs some attention, however. The seats needs cleaning as does the carpets. Any suggestions?

If it's really mucky, I'd be tempted to try and get the price down and then get it valeted.
You'll enjoy the car right from the start then, new car feeling

As for cleaning, tbh the auto glym stuff is more than adequate for most jobs. Or you could call past Autobrite if your near Stoke.

Either way I'm sure you'll love the car. :D

It looks as though the OP lives in the USA so probably won't be calling in at Stoke! :P

Agree Stoke might be a bit of a distance to travel just to get your interior refreshed.
