Hi Paul

We hope to be able to make this run -but might meet you en route somewhere - assuming it's OK to turn up in one of those :driving: horrid P cars !

Would love to see the Porsche!.............Have to admit I went to look at one two weeks ago  Luckily I have too much on at present and it wasn't the right one :) The old girl has a future.................................!

Thanks Nick, thought it might benefit from an Easter bump

We have a few new members in the North East - why not get yourself along - we have a great bunch of people and some excellent roads and this really will add another dimension to your Zed ownership

:driving:

Yeah but Paul - maybe this needs a "rebranding" - after all this is quite far South for many of us ! rather than North East- North East of where ?? just call it a Hawick Hoon then you might encourage more of us from these parts - when I first opened it I thought it was going to be in Inverness or somewhere - now that's truly North East !

Really? :? Having been in the North East since 1975 I've assumed it was self evident where the North East of England was. . . . :o

Now the North East of the UK. . . . . .that's another question (don't want to cause a debate and probably remains a contentious issue) .

There's the Pentland Hills coming up Jax. That's in the North North East (from our house) :D

Anyone want to know where the North East or Newcastle (upon Tyne) is, then do send Jax a pm for more info . . . . . .

Bump

:driving:

I hope to be down at the Pentlands run too Paul !

I'm certainly not trying to spark a North /South or any other kind of debate ! I don't think it's really a contentious issue. You know I'm only winding you up.

North East of UK is clearly Inverness or thereabouts and indeed probably further North than that.
North East of England is where you rightly say - but why should we all assume that just the term "North East" means that of England in clearly a UK wide forum / audience - that's kinda my point - probably not as succinctly made as I'd like and will probably raise tempers. Of course I'm very well aware the area is known as The North East - I probably just rise to the bait of defending the Scottish / UK position rather than our whole fine country / kingdom often being referred to (or assumed as) England - hope that makes some sense without contention. And to repeat I did not vote for Scottish Independence !

Why does forum writing often sound so very much more aggressive than it's genuinely intended ?

We spent Easter weekend in The lakes and Dales - thanks btw for the fabulous route and lunch tips -enjoyed those sections immensely and will try to find time to post pics etc. :driving:

Steph and I are laughing too :D

Glad to hear your Easter Weekend went well - see you at the Pentland run (I'll bring a compass).

:driving:

Should be able to make this, put me down as 'probable' just now. Aberdeenshire, Buchan, Grampian, Moray etc. is North East, then Inverness, Caithness and Sutherland is just North :poke:.

Hi Dave, As long as you don't cause a fuss and stay out the photos

(We had a Porsche with us last year)

Mine is in the garage at the moment and when it comes out it will be up for sale but if it's not gone by the 26th I will probably join you.

Why are u thinking of selling your z4 m roadster so soon/didn't think you have had it too long Dave?
