NEWCASTLE: 'Hoon' 26th April HAWICK LOOP

Our next Newcastle 'Hoon' will be on Sunday 26th April 2015. HAWICK LOOP

From Newcastle to Chollerford on back lanes, take B6320 to Wark and Bellingham - Turn Left. On to photo op at Kielder Water, (COFFEE now at TOWER KNOWE at Kielder Water), follow Kielder Water to B6357, turn right to Bonchester Bridge, take A6088 to A698 and Hawick for LUNCH. Return via B6399 to left turn just north of Newcastleton onto B6357 and a return via Kielder and finish at Errington Arms on the A68 where it crosses the B6318.

This was a terrific hoon last year and we were very lucky with the traffic - these are wonderful roads.

10.00AM START and BRIEFING - Tesco carpark, Kingston Park, NE3 2FP, Just off the A1 west of Newcastle. Fuel and toilets available.

Well thanks for the kind words mr wilks (my wife Steph is the route master and Cherrym and Chezsherman help out as well) and yes, this area is brilliant for lots of reasons.
Druridge Bay is up the coast, one or two decent access roads but that particular part of the coastal route is a little inland and straight. Massive beach though - have a mate that land yachts on it.

We have a couple of Border Terriers!

We're away this weekend but if you're ever up this way again give me a heads up and we can meet up perhaps?

A can't wait and I've found myself a co-driver in my friend Paul....... Yes another one I didn't get to do this run last year think it was the only one mind so really looking forward to it and visiting kielder water never been lucks a pleasant place and good photo opportunity.

Oh Paul/ mike I am free on Wednesday for a catch up drive out am taking Chloe to school in morning only not getting her afterwards so am able to meet up and not on a time schedule

Well you were very well behaved on last years run and anyone that posted such excellent videos deserves commendation - I still go back and watch those videos and really enjoy them - watch them right the way through - honestly! Thought that particular run was excellent Laine. (Any chance you could send me a copy of both?)

Hi Jax, you must be enjoying that Porsche now (we had a Boxster with us last year on this run - see above) Look forward to meeting up. Get in touch nearer the date and I should be able to give you some estimates of where we'll be at what time.
