Hi all
I am new on here and do not currently own a bmw let alone a Z4  Mini's don't count
I am in the process of selling my current car (59 Mini Cooper S) to fund the transition and look forward to owning a 3.0 manual some time soon :D
Any advice on my search would be appreciated :D however I have been keeping an eye on what's available and what to expect for the price range.
Cheers

My mini for those that might be interested :?

Welcome Boftus , this year appears to be a good time to get into any Z4 as prices have dropped back across the board
3.0 Se 230 bhp up to 06 then 3.0 Si 262bhp in either Se or Sport spec
There have been a good few forum cars over the last few months offering tremendous value Z motoring
As with any car buy on condition & current drive along with history , any recent bills & number of owners
EG here , enjoy your search

Hi and welcome.

I am not the world's greatest Mini fan, but I like the pics as it is always good to make sure you can post pics in preparation for when you HAVE to post pics of your Zed to be!

Good luck with your search!

Hi and welcome OP.

Nice looking Mini

I like them - the OH bought a new R56 Cooper at the launch event and it has been a great little car!

But I'm sure you'll find a Z4 rather different - hope you find one you like soon!

Thanks for the welcomes guys
The mini is nice, it's a good car and runs really well.
But it is a bit tame for me and I am struggling to bond with it so feel a need to change it.

While we are waiting for pics of the upcoming Z
Previous cars I kept for a while we're

Welcome and good luck with your search.
Having recently got into zed ownership myself i can't stress how important it is to do a thorough check on any potential car. Both from an operational and mechanical point of view.
My car was great for the first few weeks then developed a few problems including a rough-idle i'm trying to fix at the moment.
I used only a basic obd scanner when i went to inspect the car i bought but wish i had invested and taken a bmw-specific obd scanner.
If you are serious about buying a zed it will be both a good investment now while you're looking and later when it comes time to address any problems in getting hold of one.
Best to politely inform the owner that you intend to scan their car as they might not be expecting it if you turn up with one.
Lots try to hide problems which arent reflected by any dashboard lights but show up as fault codes.
Every bimmer has a number of fault codes however, and some can be trivial but its best to have full transparency.

Cheers for all the advice guys.
Really need to get my mini on ebay now, get it sold so I can start a proper search for my Z4 :D
