Newby questions!

Hello I'm new to the forum and a new z4 E89 owner I have two questions and was wondering if anyone could help.

1) Does anyone perform their own servicing, if so where do you buy the service kit/parts from. What oil do you use and roughly how much, as I know all z4's have different capacities.

2) I'm missing a plastic grommet that covers a screw on the passenger door card behind the inside door handle.. any idea where I can get one...?

Can't help with your first question but any BMW dealer will sort out the second,can only imagine they'll be a couple of quid
 
the plastic grommet, I bought one a few months ago from BMW and I am sure it was only a couple of quid

BMW part number is 9167013 51419167013 (think it might just be 51419167013) if you wanna check local dealer.

How much? Missing covers appear to be a common problem on the Z4. I looked at a couple of cars and noticed there were missing! At first I assumed someone had forgotten to replace them after removing the door cards. But even my car has both missing! So I am going to need a couple of replacement s soon.
 
Search "51419167013" on eBay and they'll come up (my link above is dead). About £6ish, but others suggest might be cheaper direct from a dealer, but for the sake of a few quid, I didn't think it worth going to my dealer.

I think they fly out if you close the doors to hard? My car had one missing & after I bought a replacement for a couple of quid from the dealer I found the missing one under the passenger seat. :oops:
