Hi All. Picked up my 2003 Z4 3.0L auto last week. Only done 22k. In fact one year it did less than 1k. Sterling Grey with red leather. Nice car, love the engine. Less keen on the 18" run flats. Get a fair bit of tram lining. You cannot relax in this car, you need to concentrate! These past couple of spring like days, I had the roof down motoring through The Rodings in Essex. Windows up, roof down, heater on, deflector in place....snug as a bug in a rug.

Getting 33mpg on daily commute (25 miles round trip on A12)

Looks like a wild animal waiting to pounce, it is so squat and aggressive looking.

Look forward to a few years of driving it. I am 55 and have been diagnosed with Parkinsons. DVLA put me on a short licence, so this is my real mid life crisis purchase.

Excellent to hear you're enjoying what sounds like a barely run in Zed !

There's been some beautiful sunny days recently so great time to get the roof down and enjoy.

Plenty of info on here about things like changing the tyres - there are much better & more modern runflats to pick from, or replace them with non-runflats for slightly less expense with obvious disadvantages.

You've also stumbled on the best accessory for your Zed already.. this forum. Welcome!

Hi and welcome,

Sounds like my car - same age, engine, colour, year, auto, interior colour, so I have to complement you on your choice.

Enjoy these roof down days - for sure it will be snowing again soon as this is England

Welcome. From another newbie!

The RFTs are very susceptible to tramlining especially when slightly worn. May be worth getting them checked for depth and even fitting some normal tyres on there if you can?

Welcome
good to read u have had the roof down already :D

yeah,no spare if u ditch the runflats, but as u will read in this forum, just buy a cpl cans of holts tyrefoam from asda/£6 ea.,and u should get non rft's for about £400,eg vrdstn ultracs(plus £40 fitting for 4),as oppose to £760 plus ftng for 18inch brdgstn rfts!!

enjoy it regardless :driving:

Welcome, you'd better get some miles on that thing , and if the DVLA tries to get your license, outrun them. Life is too short to not have a Zed.

Welcome along :D

change the runflats to either non-runflats or a different brand (Michelin are good 8) ) and the car will be transformed
