Hi All,

Thanks to everyone for all your help and welcome messages yesterday, greatly appreciated.

I collected my Zed today, a 3.0 SE in Sapphire Black, 35k genuine miles, with electric memory & heated seats, headlamp wash, reverse parking sensors etc etc. I've done about 50 miles all hood down and am really impressed. Took time out this afternoon to clear the hood drains as per all the helpful suggestions and couldn't believe all the crap that came out! Also had a look at brake pads and discs which probably only have about 4 thousand odd miles on them. Rear springs have obviously been replaced as look brand new. Did notice however a new set of springs on the rear, so not all bad!

Couple of odd jobs to complete over the next few weeks then intend wheel refurb over the winter to coincide with the replacement of run flats and probably the discs/pads at the same time.

Black zeds look awesome when clean. It's a cracker :)

'when clean' is the poignant phrase here. I had a black car years ago and swore I would never have another. I have polished the Zed this afternoon and it looked lovely for about 20 minutes, now covered in dust and pollen

Cheers guys, thanks for the kind comments, must admit they were among my favourite wheels. There is a small amount of bubbling especially on the fronts but I will have all four re-furbed later in the year or when the tyres need replacing. There are also a couple of kerb marks as well that need to be sorted. Have done a few miles in the car today and love it, not particularly keen on the feel of the run flats though - I've never driven something with so much tramlining.

Will be lovely when properly sorted :)

Very nice looking. I was getting around to taking and posting some photos of mine, but you have set such a high standard I'll now have to mine another polish first!

Welcome aboard!

Glad to see the standard being set for West Sussex!

Was out your way for a back road blast last night & ended up at the Cricketers Arms
In Wisborough Green for something to eat before a more gentle run home. Top down
all evening, 45 miles of driving bliss. Fantastic!
