Hello, I am Terry a sixty year old geezer recently made redundant so I decided to sell my VW scirocco and move up to a Z4.My wife doesn't drive so I thought she might think I'm crazy buying one of these at my age but she was actually really impressed with it because it looks so good and becaus it has heated seats,we have never had a car with heated seats before,it's amazing we love it.
The car is brand new a Z4 2.0 automatic sdrive M.Black.Beautiful.We live in Scotland so can't have the roof down right now,it's too cold outside but this car heats up and defrosts so quickly I'm really impressed by that.
The only downside I would say is road tax £185 compared to the £30 I paid for the VW scirocco each year and mileage,I was getting 45 to 50 miles a gallon with the scirocco and only about 27 with the Z4,still it's worth it for the sheer beauty of the Z4.
Can't wait for spring and a chance to get some wind in what's left of my hair maybe I will avoid haircuts til spring.
One more thing I thought was not so good was the connected drive service has withdrawn internet access because it didn't work very well but nobody told me until I emailed connected drive a couple of weeks after I bought the car but hey these are minor annoyances.

Hi there - welcome to the forum.

It's always good to hear of another happy Z4 owner!

But be warned, the photo police will be along soon so if you have any photos of your P & J post them up!

Welcome aboard Terry. 27 mpg :o you must be enjoying the loud pedal. :driving:

Now get the hats on, turn those lovely heated seat seats to max and get the roof down.

Hi and welcome.

Please regard this as s the first warning from the photo police.

Enjoy :driving:

How do you add a photo.
Thanks[/quote]
Welcome again!
There are a couple of ways to add. I just add as an attachment and preview first to check it is the right way up, then submit.

Don't let the cool weather stop you enjoying top down driving. Hats on. With your heated seats on and auto on the heating it will blow lovely warm air onto your hands. It is where you might want your wind deflector. I would just give them one call it's worth £400! Viv
