Hi, just joined the forum having been reading it fir a while.

I'm looking for a convertible for the summer as a second car for me and the Z4 has caught my eye. I'm looking for the facelifted model, probably around the 2009 reg year as I don't want to spend more than £10k if possible.

I've found the forum to be really useful in what to look out for when going to view a car, etc.

I currently drive a Peugeot RCZ R, which I love and is quite rare and my hobbies include car detailing as I like to look after my cars (as well as my husband's) :o

Look forward to hopefully becoming an owner soon and finding out more useful information.

Welcome along. Right time to buy a roadster for next summer. The E85 roadster version of the Z4 finished in 2008 (facelift version 2006 - 08). With up to a 10k budget I'd go for a low mileage cherished 3.0si although I wouldn't rule out a 3.0i with all the toys - its only around 30 bhp less.
Go for the 'Sport' and you will get M Sports seats (hold out for heated electric if you can) and M Sport steering wheel. You will also get the harder M Sport suspension (not to everyones tastes though). If you prefer a less harsh ride and can find a 3.0si SE with M Sports Seats that could be a good alternative.

Hi, good luck with the hunt, welcome to the forum.
Try the for sale part of the forum some cherished options on there .

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with the search, not many 2009 E85's or did you mean the E89, when you said face lift?

Any nice pics of your Pug. :)

Sorry yes I did mean the E89. I prefer the metal folding roof. There are a few appearing for circa 10k. I won't be putting too many miles on it so a higher mileage model doesn't bother me that much.

Welcome to the forum OP, and good luck with the search.

Your husband is a lucky man - my wife never even washed my car (or hers, thinking about it)!

Ah - the E89, right. When you said 'facelift' I assumed you meant the E85
