Hi all, just thought if join up and learn all I can from you guys :)
I'm now looking for a nice E89 roadster, most probably a 2.0 and I'd really like the i-drive.
Tips on anything to look out would be great cheers. My budget is 20k

That 35i that you just looked at is mine and I find it really economical to run obviously if you drive like a lunatic it will use more fuel but honestly you shouldn't dismiss it as it is so much more fun than a 2.0 especially the sound and mine is totally immaculate inside and out, there isn't a mark on the interior and the mileage and spec is superb plus it has a full years mot on it and no service to do or brake fluid to replace until August 2017 you will not find a better example anywhere. Come and have a look you will fall in love with it like I did :)

I may just get an insurance quote for your 35i and see what I think. The only reason I wanted the 2.0 is because I intend to use it every day. It truly does look stunning and it has got me thinking.
 
It is worth looking into as it might not be as much as you think it will be, it is pretty cheap for me and honestly if you can do it then the sound and performance of the 6 cylinder engine on mine is just intoxicating and I am happy to pick you up from York train station in it :)

Lol number 5 and thank you Marlon, I just need to decide what model I want now has Andy's post has me thinking with his 35i I'm just not sure just yet.
 
Welcome Spidey :) Andy's right, don't dismiss the larger engines just because of daily use. They're loads more fun for (usually) not much extra dosh. Gd luck with the search :)
 
I have no idea what the mpg is on any of the models. But I'm sure there can't be a huge difference between the 2.0 - 35. Buy the 35 and enjoy every minute of it. Life's too short :thumbsup:
 
Thank you for the comments, I do get what your saying but I drive a 3.0l already and fuel is terrible I really do think one of the 2.0l engines will be perfect for me preferably the 28i
