Hi, to everyone, just bought my first bmw, I well impressed with it, looking to do my first mod,so I'll be looking through the forum closely, I got a couple of little teething problems so I will be sorting them over the next couple of weeks, but all in all, best car I've had.

It's a bit sluggish, wish I'd got the 2.5 now,
But I still love,
I will get some pics up a soon as this crappy Welsh weather changes, which will be in a decade or so.
 
My first mod, I am looking to make my self a new s/st tailpipe,
Im looking to see, how they are connected to the exhaust?

Hi buddy the tail pipe on the 2.0l is different to the 6 cylinder zeds 2 piped come out and join into the oval. If you still have the tip your doing well i have never seen one on.

I have fitted twin exhaust for people before. Its quite simple take the bumper off to gain access. Then cop the 2 outlets as the join the oval. weld 2 50mm lengths of pipe on and then fit tips to them.
If you want to take the back box off it needs cutting off or the whole system come off at the manifold at the front.

Welcome to the forum - be careful as you'll get loads of ideas for mods and they do tend to hurt the bank balance! :wink:
