Newbie

Hello one and all, I am new to the Z4 and to the Forum and would like to introduce myself, having bought a 2006 E85 2.5 si roadster automatic, 22500 miles in silver with 18” wheels and a few sports options. The car is in immaculate condition and has a full service history. I had new black diamond grooved and ventilated discs, ebc yellow stuff pads fitted all round, a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres fitted all round, mainly because I have a Mk1 Ford Focus RS and have found over the years that these seem to be really good products for the faster type of car. I am 6’ 6” so the Z is a little snug but very drivable and my first impressions are that hopefully I will have a lot of fun for years to come. Not quite as much as in the RS but not far behind, I wish I had bought one a few years ago!CE489AAB-62CF-4FCD-89C7-2932BCD153FA.jpeg

Photos worked on this thread, and your car looks great.

But you've got 3 threads running now so you might want to delete 1 or 2!

Not many around at that mileage and yours looks an absolute peach. Colour goes with the beard too. Welcome to the forum and I hope you have many miles of smiles in your Z4.

Welcome aboard. Lovely looking car you have there. A really good find.
It'll be a completely different kind of fun to the RS, but I still reckon you'll be torn between the two.

A general question for the forum, as I have no great knowledge of the facelifts.
Did the 2.5si still just have '2.5i' on the side badges?

Hello and welcome, lovely looking car and you did well to source one as clean and with such low mileage

As for it being snug, of course by buying the right type of Z4, roadster, you’ll have the roof down most of the time and the feeling of snugness will disappear

Your fog lights look crystal clear and no sign of the dreaded condensation! Looks like a new motor

Here is my other fun car, a Ford Focus RS Mk1 bought new in January 2004 for driving in Europe hence the LHD, I have only done 65500 miles but enjoyed every single one, especially on the lovely uncrowded twisty roads in France. I never felt the need for any mods other than updating the discs, pads and tyres. If you want to go fast then you have to be able to stop fast and stay on the road!

The 2.5si had its own badge - so it appears this car is actually a 2.5i 177BHP rather than the 2.5si 215BHP

I do hope OP won’t be disappointed to find that out.

Wonder if the OP has simply mixed up the nomenclature, or if they think they have a 2.5si.
